Shayla + Hunter

Shayla and Hunter’s wedding was at Paradise Cove in Grapevine, Texas. It over look Lake Grapevine, and it was absolutely jaw dropping. Their wedding had to be rescheduled due to the world’s situation in 2020, and it happened to be rescheduled on my birthday! I would not have wanted to be anywhere else than with Shayla and Hunter on their precious wedding day! (FINALLY. woohoo!) I knew Shayla from high school, and we even worked together at a local daycare. Hunter and his brother both married two Early girls! (We are irresistible.) It was definitely a small world especially since Hunter and his family are from Odessa.

The day started out very frigid, but Shayla fought through! We were able to capture her BEAUTIFUL bridal portraits. We then went in to her father’s first look, and he couldn’t handle how stunning Shayla looked. His baby girl was getting married, and his love for her definitely showed on his face. After family photos, it was time for the ceremony. Let me just say, it was short, sweet, and to the point. The gorgeous couple could not wait to start their reception, so after bride and groom portraits, they went inside, ate, and began to party! Seeing their smiles while they greeted all of their guests made me smile even bigger.

I have always cried during the father/daughter first looks and dances, but now that I am a boy mom, I couldn’t keep my tears in for the mother/son dance. Hunter’s mom is so much fun, and watching them dance was so sweet.

In all, Shayla and Hunter’s wedding day was nothing less than incredible, and I am so happy I was able to be apart of their day. They will being going to Arizona for a mini honeymoon in May and then St. Lucia when places start to open up more. I cannot wait to see where their lives and marriage leads them.
